Physics Problem: Tension in a Tightrope
A 70 kg person stands on the middle of a tightrope stretched between two trees that are 6 meters apart. The rope stretches so that the contact point moves down 15 cm. What is the tension in the rope? I'm working through chapter summaries for introductory physics (algebra-based). I'm using the Openstax online (free) textbook College Physics. You can access this book here https://openstax.org/details/books/co... Here is the playlist with all the videos and problems for this course. • Online Physics 1 2024
