In this video, you'll find part 2 of my sock knitting course. Together, we'll work on the back of the heel, which is knitted in stockinette stitch using needles 4 and 1, working back and forth in rows. You can find more parts of my sock knitting course in the "Knitting Socks" playlist. By working through all the parts, you'll learn how to knit socks using double-pointed needles. HEEL BACK We knit 28 stitches in stockinette stitch using needles 4 and 1, knitting the first and last stitches of each row as the edge stitch in the slip-stitch selvedge. We work the heel back until it measures approximately 5 cm from the cuff.
