Continuing his speech to Israel, Moses describes the covenant between YAH and the people, and lays out the future of the nation; he also expresses the practicality of the Torah to a united nation, and the freedom of choice that binds it all together. He insists that the Isra-elites must uphold the covenant with YAH and honour the Torah so that they may be rewarded with life in the Land of Israel. The people are warned of the desolation and exile that their future holds when (not, if) they later abandon their covenant with YAH, but tells of their future redemption: being brought back out of exile from the ends of the world to once again be a nation under YAH, following His perfect Way in the Promised Land.
