Starting in 2024, all public school districts and charter schools in the state will collect tribal affiliation data of students and staff. The data will be used in partnership with 12 federally recognized tribes to take a detailed look at the performance of public school systems with Native students. The ICT Newscast won both a first and second place award for Best TV Newscast in the professional division given by the Native American Journalists Association. We also won first place awards in best digital publication and general excellence in the print/online divisions. The awards come from more than 800 entries that were submitted.
