Smith, the 39th Commandant of the Marine Corps, honored fallen service members alongside allies and partners during the Marine Leaders of the Americas Conference in Washington, D.C. The event, hosted by the Commandant and sponsored by U.S. Marine Corps Forces, South, convened senior Marine and naval infantry leaders from 21 nations—including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, France, Mexico, and the United Kingdom—to address shared security challenges and strengthen regional cooperation.
