Top & Tail Class 66 Ballast Freight Train at Yalding Level Crossing, Kent

Date filmed: 18/02/2020 Route: Medway Valley Line Yalding Station Location: B2162 Hampstead Lane, Yalding Trains: Lowering 1 (0:00): Class 66 & Class 66 (Freightliner) Ballast Freight - Lowering 2 (2:11): Class 375 (Southeastern) Half barrier level crossing next to Yalding Station with drivers' white lights and fairly loud E2S alarms. In this video taken in the early morning, a pair of Class 66s in Freightliner livery make their way past towards Edenbridge from Eastleigh East Yard. At the time of filming, a landslide had blocked the line between Edenbridge and Redhill, so this train was called out to deliver ballast, in order for progress to be made with re-opening the line. In the second closure in this video, a Class 375 pulls into the station. This happened around 6 minutes before the ballast freight passed. I caught this purely by chance. Please note: The first video has been filmed in 4K. However, the second video was only filmed in 1080p. This should explain the change in quality. Thanks for watching!
