Reducción de Wolff-Kishner | Reducción de Aldehídos y Cetonas Hasta Alcanos

Wolff-Kishner Reduction "Compounds that cannot withstand treatment with hot acid can be deoxygenated using the Wolff-Kishner reduction. Ketones or aldehydes are converted to their hydrazones, which are heated with a strong base such as KOH or potassium tert-butoxide. Ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, or another high-boiling solvent is used to facilitate the high temperature (140-200 °C) required in the second step."
