Original Bronze Karve Razor and Mystic Water Coconut Sandalwood

For today's shave, we're breaking out a couple of products we haven't used in a while in the Karve Razor (with the C plate) and Mystic Water Coconut Sandalwood Soap. Mystic Water is an artisan soap company run my Michelle Burns out of Maryland. Michelle has been making artisan soap for over 15 years and is one of the traditional wet-shaving world's first artisan soap makers out of the new crop of soap makers. Her soaps are tallow-based and are extremely moisturizing. They are low structure as well, with very good to excellent slickness, and come in a variety of scents. Coconut Sandalwood was done in collaboration with some members of the forums, and is predictably tropical smelling. Having grown up on the coast, this definitely reminds me of the smells fo the beach. As for the Karve, with the release of the Stainless Steel version of the razor, I was really hankering to break it out and it did a great job loaded with a new Gillette Nacet Blade. I followed everything up with Fine Accoutrements Santal Absolut, one of the premier Sandalwood scents on the market today. It's modeled after the original The Art of Shaving Sandalwood, and the aftrshave is strong enough to be worn as a fragrance on its own.
