By the time she appeared in-game, those years of speculation had built a tower of expectations. A handful of voice lines, a single trailer, and a lot of extrapolation had led people to conjure up an image of who she was supposed to be: something which truly stood out from the rest of what the game had given us. So when her reality turned out to be something quieter, softer, and more emotional, the response was rather mixed.
