MOUNTUNE CAST INLET MANIFOLD INSTALL! | FOCUS RS

The time has come for more custard! This is the latest performance mod session that I have done to my Ford Focus RS MK3 and it features the up-rated cast inlet manifold and the throttle body spacer from Mountune! It makes good sense to install these two mods at the same time since it would be awkward/time consuming to repeat certain actions if doing them separately. The spacer will add plenum volume and have similar smoothing benefits that the intake manifold spacer has had that I installed recently so matches well with it and then the Mountune cast inlet manifold itself joins everything together so everything is upgraded! The Mountune cast inlet manifold is very sturdy compared to the stock plastic part. It comes all necessary mounting hardware including bolts and brand new genuine Ford gaskets. The Mountune cast aluminium inlet manifold adds reliability, together with adding a host of useful additional features. In addition, the Mountune inlet has been engineered to house four optimally located pfi / methanol injectors for applications requiring additional fueling demands. It is supplied with a thermal gasket to prevent heat transfer from the cylinder head, as well as optional locating posts to easily run with or without the oe engine cover. I show the process of removing the stock inlet manifold as well as the addition of the optional throttle body spacer at the same time and then how to install the new Mountune intake manifold, starting with the removal of the under tray and then disconnection of all the bits that need to be unmarried from the manifold before removal. The installation wasn't too difficult and the new manifold looks fantastic in the engine bay and will be much stronger and capable of handling much higher boost that the stock plastic part!
