‘We’ll Gather Lilacs’ by Ivor Novello - piano by Susan Archer
I hope you enjoy this audio visual presentation. The piano playing and photography is my own. The music is ‘We’ll Gather Lilacs in the Spring Again’ by Ivor Novello which was the hit song from the musical ‘Perchance to Dream’. The song was written as WW2 drew to a close and tells of the yearning of separated couples to be together again. To be honest I cannot think of a better time to post this video (which was created some time ago) than today - during the 80th anniversary commemorations of D-day. I hope you enjoy it! Best wishes, Susan
