Free Online Event with Gregory Manchess

Join us for a special art talk featuring internationally recognized, and award winning artist Gregory Manchess. Greg is known for the visual impact of his compositions as well as his paint handling and visual storytelling. In anticipation of the in-person workshop we are planning for the fall of 2021, Greg will share some of his principles of composition used for any picture-making process. Gregory Manchess is an internationally recognized, award-winning painter with 40+ years of experience in the art marketplace. His range of skills has been honed on assignments for campaigns, murals, magazines, and book covers, many times commissioned to perform under crushing deadlines. His passion has won him assignments from such prestigious clients as National Geographic Magazine who sent him on expedition and have trusted him to visualize moments for numerous magazine features. The filmmakers, Coen Brothers, chose to showcase Manchess’ powerful work as part of the storytelling in their latest film, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. Recently, Manchess wrote and created a widescreen novel entitled Above the Timberline, brimming with 124 oil paintings and released in 2017 to starred reviews.
