Frusciante Talks Songwriting - From 2004 Q&A

This video features John from his 2004 Q&A, where he discussed his songwriting process. I paired the clip with the improvised portion of his 2001 live set in Amsterdam. The way he describes his songwriting process is similar to his improvised playing. This is directly related to the point I made in Ep.1 (   • John Frusciante, Carl Jung, & The Self (Ep...  ) where I made the case that John's solo work is similar to Jung's active imagination. John is using his feelings to enter an imaginal space. By refining his work, he gets a representation of his feelings in musical form.
