A visit to the National Trust's Stourhead House & Gardens in Wiltshire

Our look at the 17th-century Stourhead House and Gardens in Wiltshire. Managed by the National Trust, our tour of Stourhead starts in the Stableyard, before we head to the house to look around the various rooms and savour the art and tastes of the Hoare family. A dynasty that created Stourhead 300 years ago, and owned it until it passed to the National Trust in 1947. We then walk around the gardens, taking in the Grotto, the Gothic Church, the Pantheon, pst the Temple of Apollo and the Palladium Bridge. We take in the iconic scene at Stourhead before passing the Bristol Cross and completing our tour at the Spread Eagle Inn.
