Reverse Engineering Scanned Car Parts - Airbox Series Part 1 #fusion360

In this video we are going to walk through the process of creating a 3d model of an airbox lid based on scan data. We are designing for 3d printing so we are not going to worry about draft or a perfect replica, but we will talk through the design decisions, how to identify geometry, and tools we can use to create a 3d model. This first part of our series will focus on some basics around identifying the core shape of our object and using tools like Intersect, Loft, and Boundary Fill to create a 3d model representation of the airbox. We will also go over some tips on how to create planes for our geometry, use mesh section sketches, and get as close a representation as we can.
