Merlin | This Is Me

This is probably getting too late to be zeitgeisty now but it takes me ages to finish things. When I first heard this song I quite liked it & thought no more about it. Then I heard it used as intro music for someone on a show and found myself thinking "Surely this is a Merlin song?" and knew I had to make a video. Some people might wonder why I used this version rather than the film one. It's nothing against the film one. This is the first one I heard which could have biased me but I did listen to both before choosing and just felt this one balanced the background music and voice better and felt more like one lone voice. I don't know why they changed the words for the final chorus in this one and not in the other one but I just went with it and it worked quite well for me. My aim was to try and finish a video a month now. I haven't quite managed it but it's closer than I've ever gotten before! I'm also working on polishing a lot more. Once I get all the clips in place I tend to lose interest but my last video made me realise the importance of fading every clip into the next one. So really trying to do that which takes a while. You'll be able to tell I've used clips from other videos, that's because I don't have raw footage in HD. It's no disrespect to those other creators who I admire greatly. I hope they don't mind as I am creating something new. #Merlin #ThisIsMe
