THIS is why Mexico is the World Food Champion! Today we sampled 200 kg of carne asada, the famous Guajolotongo, and some mind-blowing esquites with ramen. On this culinary tour of one of Mexico City's most iconic markets, we went in search of the biggest, rarest, and most delicious dishes. We started with Chef Memo and his impressive selection of cuts like picaña and arrachera, trying an unusual red fruit chorizo ​​brought from Toluca. Then, we went for the legendary "Guajolotongo," a gem of street food engineering that blends tamale, chilaquiles, and tons of salsa. For dessert (or something like it), we put together some "Moe Special" esquites with ramen soup and Doritos, and we finished with a bang by trying a killer gordita stuffed with five different kinds of meat.
