Characterized by elegant rafters and creaking wooden floors, the garden of this historic house forms a forest of lush vegetables—such as Aralia elata, chives, wild garlic, and ramie—along with Korean white lilac, holly, Japanese holly, and past-season camellias. Ms. Bong-ok plans to gather nature from the courtyard forest with old acquaintances visiting the house for the first time in a while to create stylish scarves using natural dyes, and to prepare healthy food using ramie and bamboo shoots. “I love this historic house so much.
