Walking tour of Lourinhã, Portugal, with detailed historical information and context! Lourinhã, located northwest of Lisbon, is a small rural town that has become known as "land of the dinosaurs". Lourinhã has two claims to fame. The area is one of only three officially recognised producers of brandy in the world, and its rocks are a treasure trove of Jurassic-era fossils. Instead of the normal statues and monuments you see in other towns, in Lourinhã you'll find dinosaur models everywhere. Another major attraction of the region is the newly opened Dino Park, a theme park dedicated to dinosaurs, and the largest outdoor museum in Portugal.
