Uwe Wältermann bought his beetle, restored it completely and converted it to an 66 optic. The 1776ccm engine recieved an upgrade with 40 Weber carburetors, electronic fuel pump and an additional oil cooler with fan. Beside he changed the old original against an CSP Super Competition exhaust system with lambda tool. To get the old beetle more driveable, Uwe also put his hands to the chassis construction with rack and pinion steering, null-bar airride damper (game changer) and an adjustable front axle. For the oldschool look there got to be hubcap rims in the front 4.5x15 with 165/65-15 and 5.5x15 with 195/60-15 in the rear. In the inside a 360 Raid wooden steering wheel an aisle windows with extended arms were added.
