HEATHKIT SS9000 TRANSMIT AND RECEIVE INCREMENTAL TUNING ,

NOTE -- At the end of this video while demonstrating the transmit incremental tuning I bumped the main tuning Knob on the SS9000 with my wrist while turning the rit knob so it was off frequency at the end and is very difficult to understand at the end even with the RIT OFF I discovered the SS 9000 was off frequency when the video was finished I decided not to re-do the video as everything is on there just a tiny bit was bad at the end . This "Tips " video shows how simple it is to connect the RIT or receive incremental tuning so it also tunes the Transmit signal at the same time .This is ridiculously simple done by disconnecting one little wire . It is ridiculously simple also to reconnect that wire and change it back to original having the incremental tuning on receive only . since the SS9000 tunes in 100 hz steps this allows fine tuning of the transmit signal I am not sure how beneficial this will be to me But since I had my SS9000 on the bench I decided to try it . You may notice at the end of the video the transmit signal moves far enough to cause the pitch of the audio signal to go way up and is difficult to understand . I plan to keep the RIT control near the center and not turn it to far while testing this on the air and I may just change it back to original if arises and I don't like it ...73 Bob
