Today's video also includes an extensive analysis of Campbell’s Soup (CPB), General Mills (GIS), and PepsiCo (PEP), three dividend stocks I own. I look at HSY via comparison with my holdings. 5:01 SEGMENT 1: OVERVIEW OF THE HERSHEY COMPANY (HSY) 5:26 HSY has been in business for over 120 years. 6:11 I'm looking at HSY as a great stock for my kids, since they love Halloween so much. 6:52 SEGMENT 2: CPG FOOD STOCK DIVIDEND STOCK ANALYSIS (HSY vs. CPB, GIS, and PEP) 8:00 Takeaway: CPG food stocks are back in style, with a sense of permanence, in my opinion. Consumers want to be ready for the unexpected. 8:57 Market Cap Analysis 9:41 Forward PE analysis 10:01 CPB and GIS are on discount, right now, in my opinion! 11:00 Key Takeaway: I look at a new stock and compare to stocks I already own to learn MORE about the stocks I already own. GIS is a great overall value right now. 12:01 Dividend Analysis 12:18 Anything under 3% starting dividend yield for me is too low, these days. 13:20 GIS has a strong 3.33% starting dividend yield. 15:20 Payout Ratio Analysis 15:57 Takeaway: PepsiCo (PEP) has a really high payout ratio. This means there is less room for dividend growth at PEP. 16:40 Key Takeaway: As an investor, I need to criticize and critique what I'm doing. I need to remain humble, as I'm always learning. 17:50 Income Statement Analysis 19:50 Gross Profit and Gross Margin Analysis 20:00 Takeaway: HSY and PEP have incredible gross margins 21:28 Operating Profit and Operating Margin Analysis 22:41 HSY has the best operating margin of all! 23:56 PEP margin gets crushed by operating expenses.
