NBA Live 97 (PS1) (Bulls vs Hornets) (November 15th 1996)

The Chicago Bulls go to Charlotte on November 15th to face the Charlotte Hornets for the first time in the 1996-1997 NBA season. I beat these guys real badly in the playoffs in NBA Live 96, so after restructuring their roster, the Hornets are getting ready for another run to the Playoffs. But they are not off to a good start. 1996-1997 may not be their year. A word of advice to anyone who wants to play NBA video games set in the mid to late 90's: When you play against the Charlotte Hornets, watch out for Muggsy Bogues and Dell Curry. Being the shortest yet fastest player in the league has its advantages, and 3 point shooting obviously runs strong in the Curry blood. Fun fact: The first Space Jam movie released in theaters on the day this game happened. Theaters in Los Angeles got an early theatrical release five days before the Bulls had their game against the Hornets. I played the "Basketball Jones" song a lot in this video to commemorate the release of the film, because it is, and always will be a part of my childhood.
