2 Colour I-Cord Tutorial, aka gnome arm tips

I use 2-colour i-cord for the arms of my gnome designs, but these tips work for all i-cord where you need to join new yarn. This tutorial covers joining new yarn in i-cord, securing the sts at the end of the work, and tips for having fewer ends to deal with. STEPS FOR JOINING NEW YARN: 1) Knit i-cord in Colour 1 2) Cut Colour 1, leaving about 2” / 5cm tail 3) Push sts back across the needle as you would normally for i-cord 4) Using Colour 2, work across the sts from right to left as usual 5) Lay the i-cord down with the ‘back’ of the i-cord facing up 6) Tie the tails of Colours 1 and 2 together twice using a simple overhand knot. Make sure you pull the first knot snug enough that the distance between them is the same as the i-cord 7) From now on, drape the tails forward across the work so that the working yarn always travels behind them when starting a new round of i-cord 8) After about an inch / 2.5cm, cut the ends and let them disappear into the i-cord LINKS: My Gnome designs: https://www.ravelry.com/bundles/gnome...
