Like many other accessories in TIG welding, it can be confusing when try to choose a good foot pedal for your welder. It is easy to get confused, because you would think that foot pedals are interchangeable from machine to machine, but that is absolutely NOT the case. There are even some cases where you will need a seperate foot control if you buy a new machine from the same manufacturer. In this video we compared four different models that are commonly paired with the machines we use on the show, both imports and domestic machines. There are many different aspects of a foot pedal that you should look at before deciding to spend the money, espescially because TIG is such a finesse process.
