Geología de la Región de Murcia. Capítulo III: Una ciudad esculpida por el agua

“Geology of the Region of Murcia” is a new documentary where we will discover the geological history of the Region of Murcia. We will explore the limestone mountains of the north and center of our Region, which during the Jurassic period were seabeds teeming with life. We will navigate canyons carved by our rivers, examine the fault that caused the earthquakes of May 11th in Lorca, and understand the unique tectonic context of the Guadalentín Valley. We will descend into spectacular caves in constant transformation and discover imposing cliffs that recede to replenish our beaches with sand. We will witness the intense erosive processes affecting the southeastern Iberian Peninsula and uncover amazing stories that took place millions of years ago and were recorded in the rocks.
