30 ans d'Hello World en Java avec les JDK 1.0 à 24 - Jean-Michel Doudoux (Sciam)

Presentation by: Jean-Michel Doudoux (Sciam) 📕 Summary: Traditionally, when starting out with a new programming language, you write a "Hello World": a small application of one or more lines of code (using Java) to display two words. To celebrate Java's 30th anniversary, this presentation revisits the "Hello World" in Java in 35 different ways, using various features introduced in JDK 1.0 to 24, ranging from the classic version, which is rather complicated compared to many other languages, to dynamic bytecode generation. This is an opportunity to explore features offered in JDKs, some more or less well-known, some older or more recent, including those of JDK 24, and some even (very) advanced. Recorded in April 2025 at the Palais des Congrès, Porte Maillot, Paris. 🔥 To stay informed about Devoxx France news, follow us on LinkedIn:   / devoxx-france  , Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/devoxx.fr or visit our website https://www.devoxx.fr/
