Nicodème, renaître de l'esprit

This week, "Faith Taken Literally" focuses on the biblical figure of Nicodemus. Indeed, here is a man with an exceptional destiny. The Gospel of John tells us that he was a prominent Jewish man who came to question Jesus and received instruction on the necessity of being born again. He is found in the tomb and enjoys extraordinary renown, as an apocryphal account is attributed to him. This text, as we will see during the program, is of considerable importance, both in the East and the West, because it contains a description of the Harrowing of Hell on Holy Saturday. To learn more, join our two guests: Anne-Catherine Baudoin, a lecturer and research assistant at the École Normale Supérieure on Rue d'Ulm, in the Department of Ancient Studies, and Yves Simoëns, a Jesuit priest and professor of biblical exegesis, who teaches Sacred Scripture at the Jesuit faculties in Paris (Centre Sèvres) and at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome.
