St. Louis – Ship of Fate tells the story of more than 900 jews fleeing Nazi Germany in 1939
In 1939, more than 900 Jewish refugees boarded the German ocean liner St. Louis to flee Nazi persecution. They were denied entry to Cuba, the United States — and, finally, Canada. The exhibition St. Louis – Ship of Fate explores this dark chapter from Canada’s past and the tragedy that resulted.
