After graduating from university, he joined a trading company and was assigned to the apparel department. After working in Tokyo, he engaged in processing trade with overseas companies and was later transferred to China, where the company's production base was located. After returning to Japan, he joined Ikeda Kogei Co., Ltd. in 2004 to take over the family business. In 2009, he became the third-generation president and CEO. Since joining the company, he has worked surrounded by crocodiles, becoming fascinated with their charm and seeking ways to share their appeal with others. In 2015, he launched the "Ikeda Kogei" brand online to raise awareness of crocodile products made by Ikeda Kogei.
