Visiting Artist Series: Richard Royal

Thursday–Sunday, Nov 17-20, 2022 Internationally acclaimed artist Richard Royal visited the Perry Glass Studio in November 2022. Watch as he demonstrates blown and sculpted hot glass processes and learn about his work. Richard Royal is a native of the Northwest and is recognized as one of the most skilled and talented glassblowers in the studio glass movement. He began working as a glass sculptor in 1978 at the Pilchuck Glass School. Royal worked his way through the ranks to find himself as one of Dale Chihuly’s main gaffers. Currently, he is an independent artist exhibiting work internationally in both solo and group exhibitions. The Visiting Artist Series is sponsored in part by the Rutter Family Art Foundation.
