Recorded Path Parking and the new Parking Assistance Package on the all-new 2024 X5

A quick how-to video on the new parking assistance package on the all-new 2024 X5 featuring parking assistant professional with recorded path parking, automatic parking, and the backup assistant. This new version of the parking assistance package takes convenience and technology to the next level and is available on all vehicles featuring iDrive8 and Digital Key Plus (see vehicle eligibility on note #1) A few notes: 1. Vehicles eligible for this version of the parking assistance package with parking assistant professional: X1, X5 LCI, X6 LCI, X7 LCI, i5,*, 5 series* i7, 7 Series, iX, XM. 2. NOT ALL iDrive8 vehicles come with Parking Assistant Professional which adds recorded path parking and remote control parking via the myBMW app which requires Digital Key Plus (2, 3, 4, and i4). The X3, X4, and 5 series are unavailable with Parking Assistant Professional due to the lack of iDrive8 and/or Digital Key Plus. 3. An Electronic Subscriber Agreement or ESA is required for remote control parking via the myBMW app and also requires the activation of Digital Key Plus. 4. If your BMW is equipped with the Driving Assistant Professional Package, the steering wheel lighting elements on each spoke will illuminate green when steering intervention for the parking assistant professional is active. 5. The backup assistant on vehicles featuring both iDrive 8 and Digital Key Plus will memorize 500+ ft of your previous driving maneuvers. Vehicles with iDrive7 and iDrive8 without Digital Key Plus will be able to memorize up to approximately 160ft of your previous driving maneuvers. 6. The automatic parking function embedded in the new parking assistant professional function can recognize painted parking lines and can park between the lines if there are 2 empty perpendicular parking spots next to each other. Prior versions of the automated parking function recognized only objects and the space between 2 objects (cars) and would park in between the 2 vehicles and not take into account the painted lines. the new i5 and 5 series if equipped with the premium package or above are able to add the parking assistant professional (recorded path parking) to their vehicle through the ConnectedDrive Store for a fee.
