Iran war: U.S. strikes Iran drone sites and coastal defense systems | FOX 10 Phoenix

U.S. Central Command announced that American forces struck multiple military targets across Iran during a five-hour mission. The strikes targeted drone sites and coastal defense systems, marking the third consecutive night of U.S. strikes aimed at stopping Iran from attacking ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM released video showing U.S. forces successfully striking a submarine and ship maintenance facility, which also marked the first time U.S. forces have employed sea drones in combat operations. President Donald Trump stated, "We’re doing another very major attack tonight. We're knocking out all of their offensive capability, and we’re controlling the straits. We’re putting the blockade back." Meanwhile, Israel shared new intelligence with the U.S. indicating Iran was considering a plot to assassinate the president. Trump formally notified lawmakers that the nation is once again at war with Iran, noting that military operations officially restarted last Tuesday. Chuck Schumer remarked, "President Trump formally notified lawmakers that the nation is once again at war with Iran. Really? Thanks, Donald. Nobody seemed to know that, did they?" The Trump administration announced the U.S. is reinstating a blockade targeting Iranian ships and vessels serving Iranian customers moving through the Strait of Hormuz, and a 20% fee will be collected on all cargo moving through the waterway to help offset the cost of the operation.
