Grayling fishing on the River Isla - BLANK!

This should have been a perfect day for Grayling fishing...... freezing temperatures, a typical frosty Grayling morning. But it wasn't to be. The river was carrying a little bit more water than I would have liked but it was clear and definitely fishable. I came out expecting a 'chance' of a Grayling but as you will see, the river had other ideas! I didn't catch anything today (in fact I have never caught a Grayling on this river in 10 trips!) but by the end of the day, it didn't really matter - it was incredible to be out amongst the Angus countryside. #fishing #flyfishing #nature #euronymphing #fish #grayling #graylingfishing #riverisla #blanking #beautifulnature
