Chaldean / Assyrian discussion with Robert DeKelaita

Robert DeKelaita is the principal of DeKelaita Consulting LTD, where he advises businesses and non-profit organizations. He also serves as a history instructor through the Assyrian Cultural Foundation and as an advisor to the Chaldean Community Foundation. Born in Kirkuk, Iraq, Mr. DeKelaita practiced law in Chicago for over 20 years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Chicago, and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He is a co-founder of the Ashurbanipal Library and was the publisher and editor of Nabu Quarterly, a magazine dedicated to reporting and analyzing news relevant to the Assyrian community. His Master’s thesis focused on the origins and development of Assyrian nationalism, and he has authored several articles on history and politics. He is currently teaching a course on historiography.
