In this episode, University of Melbourne and 21st Century Weather PhD student Carl Doedens will be giving us a simple (i.e. dummy friendly) overview of Clouds and Radiation, covering questions such as: What role do clouds and radiation play in the Earth’s weather and climate? How is solar radiation absorbed, emitted and scattered in the atmosphere? How do clouds interact with solar radiation? What is microphysics and how does it influence cloud formation and characteristics?
