The Right Amount of Pleasure | Aristotle Nicomachean Ethics Book 3
In the Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle discusses temperance, one of the virtues of character. Temperance refers to moderation in the enjoyment of certain bodily pleasures. To exceed this moderation is to be intemperate and to over indulge in bodily pleasures. Aristotle notices the pain that an intemperate person goes through when they aren’t currently experiencing such pleasures and identifies intemperance as more blameworthy than cowardice, the vice associated with a deficiency of bravery. #aristotle #philosophy #nicomacheanethics (Paid ad) Book link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/162...
