Standlake Mini Metal Classic 2024 & Street Bangers Golf Roof Rd 1

It was back to Standlake for my 3rd meeting of 2024 for their annual Season Opener, which saw the new 'Mini Metal Classic' event for the Teen Streets to follow on from the annual Heavy Metal Classic in January! With separate races for Pre-95 cars the fixture proved to be a brainwave with a number of drivers bringing out some very impressive material, which included Austin A30s/A35s, A40s, a Morris 1100 & Vauxhall Viva amongst others! The standard Teen Street races were just as enthralling as ever with plenty of action throughout the day, the future of banger racing is in safe hands with this lot! Also alongside the Teen Streets were the Street Bangers who have a new Gold Roof format this year, with this being one of the qualifying rounds in preparation for the Final later in the year!
