MOTORE FUORIBORDO. TUTORIAL per principianti.

This video is subtitled in English, just tick "auto-translate" in the CC tab of the YouTube viewer The crankcase on my 1998 Johnson 8hp outboard motor has started to leak some oil for its oil seals. I absolutely have to resolve this but I want to do the work by myself so I can learn new things. Today I will change the engine drive shaft oil seals. It seems like a difficult job, but with a little attention and a pinch of courage, even beginners like me can do it without problems! When I am done with it, I will install the cooling impeller. I'll explain it to you step by step to help you understand the video. If you follow these steps carefully you can't go wrong. 1. Place the gear shift lever in neutral; 2. Remove the oil from the engine foot; 3. Separate the motor foot from the head; 4. Remove the impeller housing; 5. Remove the power transmission axis; 6. remove the bolts of the plastic oil seal box; 7. Separate the oil seal box slightly from the metal part of the foot. To do this, rotate it left and right as you lift it. If it is stuck, use a hammer, GENTLY hitting it on both ends to twist it until it unlocks. Place a piece of wood against the oil seal box to cushion the blows of the hammer. Then lift it until it separates from the foot. 8. Rotate the gear transmission axis clockwise until it engages gear; 9. Remove the gear transmission axis together with the oil seal box; 10. Remove the fixing clip installed on the gear transmission axis. The clip is located on the axis below the oil seal box; 11. remove the oil seal box from the lower part of the gear transmission shaft; 12. Remove the oil seals. Be careful not to scratch their housing; 13. Remove the plastic cap from the oil seal box that locks the gear transmission axle sealing O-ring in place; 14. Remove the sealing O-ring from the gear transmission shaft; 15. Install the new oil seals; 16. Install the new O-ring and block it with the plastic cap; 17. Insert the gear transmission shaft into the oil seal box, being careful not to damage the sealing O-ring just mounted; 18. Install the fixing clip in its seat, a small circular groove around the gear transmission axis. The oil seal box must be positioned above the retaining clip. 19. Insert the gear transmission shaft, which is now together with the oil seal box, into its housing; 20. Position the oil seal box in place and screw the fixing bolts; 21. Rotate the gear transmission axis anti-clockwise until it engages the neutral position; 21. Insert the power transmission axle, being careful not to damage the oil seals; DONE! I am on the island of Salamis in Greece. Maruzza, my sailboat, is in a shipyard where I am working on her to prepare her for solo sailing in the Atlantic Ocean. The place is perfect because Salamis is close to Piraeus which is close to Athens where I can find all the equipment and materials needed to make my yacht a perfect sailing machine for challenging voyages. I'll tell you everything in this maintenance vlog. [WRITE ME] [email protected] [BUY ME AN ORANGE JUICE] https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/svmar...
