The Road King Special is back for another year without the Road King standard. The "Special" version came about in the 2017 model year as a style-first play on the popular fairing-less touring machine. Generally speaking the Road King special has a bigger motor, more blacked out components, and a style that is more fit for profiling down your favorite main street. But the Road King didn't receive the new body style that was applied to some of the other touring bikes like the Road Glide and Street Glide. Is this a calculated move by the MoCo?
