Hi, Sekki! The other day, I saw a Tamba chestnut Mont Blanc and roasted chestnuts on Yonchan TV, and I was so craving them I went out and bought some! First up, the roasted chestnuts. Even though it was a weekday, there was a huge line. Looking at the weekend on X (formerly Twitter), it seems the line was five times longer, showing just how effective TV is. Of the two items I wanted, the chestnut rice was sold out. I bought the Mont Blanc dessert they showed on TV at Nakajima Taisho-do (headquarters in Tamba City) in the basement of the Osaka Takashimaya department store. It's not shown in the video, but it's a pretty high-end dessert. The Tamba Freshly Squeezed Mont Blanc was 1,200 yen (excluding tax). It was delicious, but a little too sweet for me, as I'm currently cutting out sugar. The subtle sweetness of the roasted chestnuts without added sugar was wonderful. Next, I headed to Tamba Sasayama and bought some fresh Tamba Ginyo chestnuts. I strolled around the ruins of Tamba Castle, and finally visited the Tamba Sasayama Kawaramachi Tsumairi Merchants' Houses, a nationally designated Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and Makekirai Inari Shrine.
