Colorado Springs, CO: Amazing OTIS elevator at the Pioneers Museum

(February 2026) This elevator was amazing but the experience of riding it was not thanks to the staff here. I have seen many videos of this elevator on youtube and facebook and was excited to see it. We showed up at the museum only to find a sign saying it was for handicapped use only. I explained who I was and what I wanted to do and was informed it was for disabled people only. My friend told them he had a bad knee and wanted to go up stairs and as you can hear, she said videos and photos could not be posted without permission.
