Marvel Comics just handed the keys to MCU executives who don't read comics, don't care about comics, and have every reason to bury them. Dan Buckley is out. And what's replacing him should terrify every comic fan. For years, fans have complained about the direction of Marvel Comics. Endless relaunches. Event fatigue. Weak characterization. Premium prices for stories that feel more focused on synergy with the MCU than respecting decades of comic book continuity. Now, after major Disney layoffs and the removal of longtime Marvel executives, things may be getting even worse.
