In today's video, we're going back to the 2000s, with one of the biggest children's hits of the time: HI-5. A gem that marked the childhood of many people out there. HI-5 is an originally Australian children's television series that was released in 1999. This series was created by Helena Harris and Posie Evans in 1998. Helena is a TV producer and director, who prior to HI-5 created “Pyjamas Bananas”. Another project that was successful on ABC Australia, and spread around the world. And at a certain point, his children got sick of “Bananas in Pajamas”. This moment occurred in 1998, 6 years after the debut of “Bananas de Pajamas”. And so, Helena together with Posie began to plan how to attract the children's attention. The plan was to create a series with educational trends, fun, games and music for children to move. Thus arises: Hi5. The Australian version has 17 seasons, totaling 670 episodes. There were 2 original phases: 1st from 1999 to 2008 and 2nd from 2009 to 2011 (interrupted). In 2012, the sale of the Nine Network series to a Malaysian company called “Asiasons Group” for 25 million dollars was announced. The American version took place in 2002, the series only lasted 2 seasons, and the end was marked by the departure of 2 members. This version was the 1st to show in Brazil, by Discovery Kids, driven by the success of the soap opera and the group RBD Rebelde and by the movie High School Musical that were booming at the time. In all, 6 countries were involved in the project, including Argentina. Who created a Latin version with characters from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil. Hi-5 Party was the name, and it debuted in 2014, lasting only 2 seasons. The company from Malaysia wanted to create something, and had the idea of ​​producing a spin-off. This spin-off was called “The House of HI-5” and aired from 2013 to 2016. As early as 2016, Nine Network managed to get back on its feet and had the rights back. The plan was to create a revival with new members. The project debuted in 2017 and it worked so well that they planned another season for 2018. However, there was no time. Filming was interrupted with the departure of a member, and supplemented with the closing of one of the series' production offices in Australia.
