Onride Carnaval Festival Efteling December 2017 - 4K

Carnival Festival is a darkride in the Efteling that was opened in 1984. The transport system of the darkride is an omnimover with doombuggies as vehicles, in which there is room for about two adults. In the attraction, Jokie and Jet are prominently present in most scenes, usually in one or other vehicle. During the ride, visitors will visit different spaces in which different cultures and peoples are depicted. The attraction was designed by Joop Geesink, also known as the inventor of Loeki de Leeuw. In 1984, shortly after the death of her spiritual father, the attraction was opened to the public. In September 1983 came the plan for the construction of the first darkride in the Efteling. This was officially opened on 1 June 1984 by the wife of Joop Geesink. In 1998, the arrival of the roller coaster Vogel Rok had to move the entrance of the Carnival Festival. The queue was then immediately covered. From 2005 Loeki was the lion in the attraction to see. Since November 2011, every year during the Sinterklaas period in the scene of the Netherlands a doll of Sinterklaas is placed.
