Tach Auch! zu Besuch in der Deutschen Textilfabrik in Aschendorf
FAN reporter Mareen Steinacker visits the German textile factory in Aschendorf. The ADO Group company is considered the European market leader in the development and production of home textiles. Around 150 million kilometers of yarn are processed there annually... THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is the most successful musical of all time. Acclaimed composer Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber now continues the moving story in a fascinating sequel to the musical: LOVE NEVER DIES. It will celebrate its German premiere tonight at the Stage Operettenhaus. The acclaimed production of LOVE NEVER DIES, directed by Simon Phillips and with set design by Gabriela Tylesova, was beloved by critics and audiences alike when it premiered in Australia in 2011. Since then, it has been performed in Melbourne, Sydney, and Tokyo, and the award-winning DVD recording has touched the hearts of many fans worldwide. The Australian creative team has now reunited to bring this special version to the stage for the first time in Europe, in the musical capital of Hamburg. LOVE NEVER DIES captivates with catchy melodies written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, a 30-person ensemble, over 300 elaborate costumes, and a magnificent set – authentically staged by the glow of thousands of lights. The story begins ten years after his disappearance from the Paris Opera House. The Phantom has escaped to a new life in New York and now lives amidst the noisy rides and freak shows of Coney Island, the New World's fairground. But he still longs for his one true love and musical protégé, Christine Daaé. Lured by a mysterious impresario, Christine, her husband Raoul, and their young son come to Coney Island for a grand performance. But then the drama that Christine thought was long over unfolds. "I am delighted that Simon Phillips' production of LOVE NEVER DIES will be coming to Hamburg," says Andrew Lloyd Webber. "This is truly one of the best productions I've ever seen of one of my works." "THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA has shaped the musical world like no other piece and remains a huge international audience favorite. In his eagerly awaited sequel, Andrew Lloyd Webber brings the Phantom to life. For him and all Phantom fans worldwide, LOVE NEVER DIES was a dream come true. We couldn't have found a more suitable venue for the German premiere than the Stage Operettenhaus, on Hamburg's Reeperbahn entertainment mile," says Uschi Neuss, Managing Director of Stage Entertainment Germany.
