Are we ready for driverless cars? | Lauren Isaac | TEDxSacramento

Driverless cars will be here before we know it. Lauren Isaac explores what problems they will solve and others they may create, if we don't learn to share. Lauren Isaac serves as Manager of Sustainable Transportation and is the 2015 winner of the William Barclay Parsons Fellowship at Parsons Brinckerhoff, one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms. She possesses expert knowledge on issues surrounding autonomous vehicles and is a driving force in helping city, state, and regional governments proactively respond to this potentially world-changing technological development. Lauren researches how the United States government should respond to driverless cars. She has a B.S. and Masters of Engineering in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
