Panther Creek Falls Hike | Gem of SW Washington

In today’s video, I’ll share the highlights of the Panther Creek Falls hike and everything you need to know to visit this beautiful place yourself. The Panther Creek Falls hike is really short (less than a mile), but the waterfall is so spectacular that it’s a must-see. To even out the drive, I’d recommend pairing it with the longer hike to nearby Falls Creek Falls. We did both hikes on the same day, and I'll cover Falls Creek Falls in an upcoming video. Panther Creek Falls is in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in southwest Washington. It’s a little under an hour and a half from Portland by car. There’s a lot of parking near the trailhead, and no fees or passes are needed. There aren’t restrooms, and there also isn’t much signage. I’d recommend downloading the map from AllTrails before you go so you’ll be able to find the start of the trail more easily. Here is the link: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/wa... The AllTrails route only goes to the upper waterfall viewpoint, but this video will show how to go to the lower viewpoint as well. I'd highly recommend visiting both! The perspective from the lower waterfall viewing platform is spectacular; it’s right at the level of the waterfall. Do take care with your footing, and stay on the path. People have died here by falling off the cliffs.
