Learning Songs on Guitar by Ear (ex. “Forty Hour Suit” by Train Breaks Down)

UPDATE: In the interest of transparency, and because this video has been getting more views recently, I'd like to point out that numerous people have since told me the song is actually played in E standard. My bad! I probably should have spent more time trying to learn the song before I hit record, but I wanted to try to capture the process as naturally as possible. Lesson learned! I think there's still a lot of good info here, but you shouldn't watch this expecting to learn the 'proper' way to play this song on guitar. Handful of tips about how you can go about figuring out how to play a song just by listening back to the record. I kind of had to speed through this unfortunately due to time constraints.
