Ishizu Ishtar is one of the most serene and enigmatic characters in Yu-Gi-Oh!. Ishizu is a descendant of a family entrusted with guarding the relics of ancient Egypt. She works at a museum and possesses a deep knowledge of the Pharaohs and the Millennium Items. During the Battle City arc, she realizes that the return of the Pharaoh (Yami Yugi) is linked to an ancient destiny. For this reason, she tries to gather the Millennium Items and steer events to prevent a tragedy. She also has a very close relationship with her brother, Marik Ishtar.
